Buckner Children's Village
Buckner's residential programs are designed to restore and reunite children with their parents whenever possible. However, when situations arise and children must be removed from their homes, Buckner provides a place for them to live and become independent, contributing members of society.
Buckner Children's Village has been caring for the needs of abused and neglected children of Southeast Texas for more than 35 years, providing healing and restoration in a loving Christian environment for boys and girls ages 5-18. The Village houses approximately 50 boys and girls year-round in four houses on campus.
Assessment Center
Serves children from age 5 to 17 who have been taken from their homes by Child Protective Services due to abuse and neglect and need emergency shelter and assessment. Children are provided with a structured, nurturing environment and all children undergo physical and dental exams, psychological evaluation, education evaluation, TB tests and eye exams.
