KFC Gives $10,000 to Buckner Foster Care

Kentucky Fried Chicken of the Dallas/Fort Worth region donated $10,000 to Buckner Foster Care May 25 after winning the national Super Sales Challenge Contest for the highest quarter-to-date sales in the nation.

Mark Shields, KFC employee and Buckner foster parent, suggested the donation go to Buckner Foster Care after sharing the story of his involvement with Buckner and expressing his high regard for the mission of Buckner.

“This is just another way that we want to give back to the community that helped us reach their goals in the first place,” said Dan Risky, region coach for KFC in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Risky presented the $10,000 check to Myndi Davidson, community relations coordinator for Buckner Children and Family Services in North Texas, at the Magic Time Machine in Addison, Texas during the company’s regional celebration.

BCFS North Texas would like to congratulate and thank KFC for their support of children and families in Buckner Foster Care.
