Church Ministry Development Program Buckner is pleased to offer consultation and advisory services to churches that are seeking to develop new or expand existing ministries. Buckner has 125 years of working knowledge and experience in service to families of Texas. In an effort to allow churches and local ministries access to this wealth of expertise, Buckner Children and Family Services Houston provides a vehicle for planning and improvement of existing church ministries. This service is offered free of charge to church groups and committees. The program provides a personal contact with a Buckner staff person who will evaluate and assess planned, or existing, church ministry efforts. Valuable advice and insight from an outside perspective can often contribute greatly towards building a better ministry for the community. The program is designed to be a helpful, no pressure, advocacy approach in assisting local churches.
