Protective Homemaker

Protective homemakers provide services to families that are involved with Children’s Protective Services. The major goal of this program is to prevent individual or family breakdown, to encourage maximum independent parental functioning, to prevent removal of children, and to promote family reunification by improving family functioning.

Some of these services include:
• Home management
• Daily living skills
• Budgeting
• Locating and utilizing available local resources
• Monitor visits between foster children and their parents or relatives
• Transportation of foster children and/or CPS clients
• Hospital-sitting with children in active CPS cases
• Court testimony when requested by CPS
