Buckner Hearthstone is committed to providing the best possible professional care for children and families in a loving, Christian environment. Buckner Hearthstone was born in 1986 out of a growing desire by community leaders to establish a place of safety and healing for families. Since that time, Hearthstone has offered healing and restoration.
Buckner Hearthstone provides supervision, structure and nurturing to boys and girls, ages 0 to 17. This program is designed to provide a safe, home-like environment for children who, due to a variety of factors, are unable to remain in their family’s home. Through educational and social support, teaching of independent living skills, counseling services, it is our hope that children will leave with the skills necessary to be successful in both their personal and professional endeavors.
Children in this program are supervised by trained, live-in childcare specialists in a group home setting. The children are active in the community, attend local public schools, attend churches in the community, and participating in many other activities in the Permian Basin area.
Counseling services are offered in hopes of healing the scars of abuse, neglect, abandonment, and other dysfunctional family patterns. Our team of clinical professionals includes social workers, licensed professional counselors and educators. Medical dental, psychiatric and other special needs are met through contracted services in the community.
