Open Your Hearts and Your Closets for Shareable Wearables May 14-19, 2007
Collection Boxes located at Texas State Banks Valley-Wide

Buckner International has partnered with Texas State Bank and NewsChannel 5 in the Rio Grande Valley to provide new or gently worn clothing to local Valley children. We need our friends in the community to clean out their closets and help local needy children begin the school year with new clothing.

Please donate your new or gently worn clothing to the clothing drive during the week of May 14-19.  Shareable Wearables collection boxes will be located at Texas State Banks Valley-wide. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Curves for Women in Mission will provide a free week of their program to those who bring a bag of clothing to their facility, located at 2420 E. Griffin Parkway in Mission.

Buckner International works with more than 30 agencies in the Valley which have already identified the families in need. We distribute the boxes among the agencies at the end of July beginning of August.

In 2006, the Rio Grande Valley community broke the record by donating more than 350,000 pieces of clothing, which benefited more than 20,000 Valley families.

Please help children feel good about starting the new school year.  All clothing or monetary donations will benefit local Valley families.
